In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the following Lake County offices will be closed on Monday, January 16:
· All offices of the Lake County Board of County Commissioners
· The offices of the Property Appraiser, Supervisor of Elections, and Tax Collector
· The Lake County Extension Center
· The Lake County Animal Shelter
The offices will return to regular business hours the following day: Tuesday, January 17.
Additional Facility and Service Closures:
· LakeXpress, Lake County’s fixed route public transportation service, will not operate on Jan. 16. Lake County Connection, Lake County’s paratransit service, will provide limited service to dialysis only.
· Lake County Solid Waste’s residential curbside collection service, as well as the Lake County Landfill, will operate as normal. However, customer service and drop-offs will be closed.
· All 16 Lake County Library locations will be closed on the holiday in observance. The libraries will reopen on their next regularly scheduled business day.
