All offices of the Lake County Board of County Commissioners, Property Appraiser, Supervisor of Elections, Tax Collector, and the Lake County Extension Center will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25 for Thanksgiving. The offices will reopen for regular business hours on Monday, Nov. 28.
Service Changes:
The Lake County Solid Waste Division will suspend curbside collection on Thanksgiving Day.
Lake County’s Central Solid Waste Landfill facility will be closed for Thanksgiving but will operate normally on Friday, Nov. 25. Residential convenience centers, as well as customer service, will be closed both Thursday and Friday in observation of the holiday.
The Lake County Animal Shelter will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 23 through Friday, Nov. 25, and will reopen from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26.
Lake County Connection, the County’s disadvantaged transportation service, and LakeXpress, the fixed-route bus system, will not operate on Thanksgiving, but will resume regular services Friday, Nov. 25. For more information and schedules, visit www.ridelakexpress.com.
