PHSC took sets one and two by scores of 25-20 and 25-18. Sets three and four went to the Lakehawks, 25-19 and 25-19. Yarelis Lopez Orosio dropped a double-double with 18 kills and 13 digs. Katie Patrick tallied 10 kills and five total blocks on the night to end with 13 points.

Still on the road, the Lakehawks traveled to Bradenton to take on newcomers, State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota. Set one went into extra points with LSSC coming away with the 29-27 win before taking the second set, 25-18. The third set, which closely resembled the first, belonged to the Manatees, 25-22. Lake-Sumter bounced back to take the fourth set and the match, 25-20.
