Public invited to Deep Creek Conservation Area Public Meeting

A land management update is among the items to be discussed July 27 during the St. Johns River Water Management District’s Deep Creek Conservation Area (DCCA) Public Meeting.

Plans for District owned lands are developed as properties are purchased to determine the uses of the land are consistent with District policy and to determine activities that are least harmful to the properties and can ensure public safety. These plans are routinely updated to adequately protect and maintain each natural system, while still maximizing the opportunity for the public to enjoy the land.

During the meeting, any member of the public will have the opportunity to submit their comments regarding the Land Management Plan for DCCA. Anyone unable to attend can submit their comments to Chris Kinslow at ckinslow@sjrwmd.com or P.O. Box 1429, Palatka, FL 32178-1429. Please ensure any comments, no matter the form of delivery, arrive prior to meeting.

A Management Prospectus and/or the Draft Land Management Plan for Deep Creek Conservation Area is available upon request from Chris Kinslow at ckinslow@sjrwmd.com or by phone at (386) 643-1939.
