Leesburg 4th of July closings

City of Leesburg offices and facilities will close Monday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.  Closings include City Hall, the Municipal Services Center and the Leesburg Public Library.

Residential garbage collection and hand commercial routes normally picked up on Monday will move to Thursday. There will be no bulk pick-ups on Monday and recycling collection scheduled for Monday will be picked up on the customer’s next scheduled recycling day.

The H.O. Dabney Aquatic Center and Venetian Gardens Splash Pad will be open on July 4. Additional information on these amenities including locations, admission fees and operating hours can be found on the Recreation Department website at www.LeesburgFlorida.gov/recreation.

Many City services including Building Permits, Planning and Zoning applications and utility payments can be conducted online at www.LeesburgFlorida.gov.

All City facilities will reopen on Tuesday, July 5.  

Leesburg is a progressive city of more than 28,000 residents in northwest Lake County. The city government serves twice as many people with its electric, gas, water and wastewater public utilities.
