Groveland Ace Hardware to give away American flags

Groveland Ace Hardware will give away free American flags on Saturday, May 28 to honor the Memorial Day holiday.

Florida lost 458 soldiers in the Korean war and 1,280 in the Vietnam conflict.

Consumers visiting the store at 1007 Highway 50, Groveland will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW William Alfred Suggs Memorial Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.

This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.

Flags will be available at Groveland Ace Hardware while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.

Groveland Ace Hardware is located at 1007 Highway 50, Groveland, Florida. This location is owned by William Nick Asma and represented by Matthew Briller.
