City of Groveland recently issued the following announcement.
You asked, and we listened!
Our normal splash pad months of operations are from May 1st - October 1st, however, with the beginning of such nice weather, and the request of many charming residents, our Parks and Recreations team have taken the necessary steps to fill the pad's water tanks and other necessities required for operation.
Our new hours of operation will be from March 18th through October 1st, from dawn till dusk.
Lake David Park Splash Pad Rules
- No Food or Beverages are permitted on the splash pad
- No glass allowed on/near the splash pad
- No animals allowed on/near the splash pad
- No bicycles, skateboards, roller blades/skates or scooters
- Smoking is strictly prohibited
- Splash Pad water is re-circulated and IS NOT intended for drinking
- Those with health problems, such as diarrhea, nausea, infections, cut or open wounds, are not allowed on splash play area
- Persons ill with diarrhea should not use the splash pad
- Persons that are not toilet trained must wear swim diapers
- You must shower before entering the splash pad. The splash pad is an unsupervised facility, Play at your own risk
- Children must have adult supervision at all times
- All participants should conduct themselves in a courteous, safe, and family-oriented manner. Foul language and unruly behavior is strictly prohibited
- Splash pad will be vacated at the first sign of thunder or lightning
- Splash pad may be closed at any time due to weather or maintenance
- Maximum Capacity: 60
- Hours of Operation: May 1 through October 1, Dawn till Dusk or as recommended by the Parks and Recreation Department
