Fire Assessment Fee Hardship Applications Are Due By May 1st

City of Leesburg recently issued the following announcement.

On October 1, 2015 the City of Leesburg implemented an annual fire assessment.  The purpose of this assessment is to fund the fire protection services benefiting improved 

property located within the City of Leesburg.  The annual fire protection assessment is based on the classification of each parcel of property and number of billing units contained 

therein. 

Applications for exemption from this assessment for the 2022-23 year are due by May 1, 2022.  Information on how to apply for an exemption (including the application form) can 

be found on the Fire Department’s Annual Fire Protection Assessment page.
