City of Minneola issued the following announcement on Sept. 28.
The Turnpike will be closed from Clermont (Hwy. 50) to Minneola (Hancock Rd.) on various dates starting tonight through October 8th. The purpose of the road closure is to
demolish the bridge on County Road 438 in conjunction with the widening of the Turnpike from four lanes to eight lanes. The bridge will be replaced at a later date.
