City of Eustis recently issued the following announcement.
Eustis City Manager, Ron Neibert, has resigned as part of a mutual agreement with the Eustis City Commission. The Commission approved the separation agreement at their September 23, 2021 meeting. Attached is his resignation letter. The separation agreement includes a severance of 20 weeks’ pay, accrued sick/vacation leave and insurance. The total cost of the agreement is approximately $125,400.00.
Mr. Neibert appreciates the progress made in his 6.5 years with the City of Eustis. “I’m proud of our many accomplishments such as the renovation of Ferran Park, the latest phase of Palmetto Plaza, utility system upgrades, improved public safety, and much more,” says Neibert.
Mayor Michael Holland, on behalf the Eustis City Commission, wished Mr. Neibert well in his future endeavors and said, “We want to thank Ron for his dedication and years of service to the City.”
The City Commission appointed Bill Howe, Human Resources Director, as Acting City Manager through October 15, 2021. Further discussion on the selection of a new City Manager will be on the next Commission agenda on October 7, 2021.
