TEDxEustis Announces Speaker Lineup for In-Person 2022 Conference

1

City of Eustis issued the following announcement on Sept. 6.

The organizing team of the non-profit TEDxEustis conference is proud to announce that the 2022 conference will continue as a live, in person event with appropriate health safety measures in place.  The fifth annual event, which is based upon the world renowned TED conference and is sponsored in part by the City of Eustis, features 14 speakers and several performers sharing their "ideas worth spreading" and will take place on Saturday, January 29th, 2022.

“TED and TEDx talks on YouTube already have more than seven billion views,” says organizer Timothy Totten, who recently completed training for a large audience TEDx license for Eustis with his co-organizer, Byron Faudie. “TED talks are designed to provoke conversation and share ideas worth spreading, TEDx conferences are in the same vein.”

The talks for the 2022 conference were selected from a record 115 applications submitted by speakers from across the United States and around the world.

"Our speakers will share with us ideas like why friendship is just as important as romance, fun ways to turn trash into fashion, and how to change the narrative of a 'bad' school through social media," says Faudie, who will share with Totten the responsibilities for attendee experience and community engagement for TEDxEustis.

The speaker lineup for 2022 includes:

Elizabeth Tran

Dr. Renee Baker

Shereen Kassam

Tori Kubick

Marisa Franco

Michael Ondrasik

Tia Young

Robin Phillips

Michael Randolph

Dr. Katie Nall
