Tavares will join the nation, and the world, as we mark the passage of two decades since the day that changed our lives forever. Never Forget Patriot Day, officially known as National Day of Service and Remembrance, is observed every September 11th to honor the memory of the nearly 3,000 innocent people who lost their lives as a result of terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. September 11, 2021 is the 20th Anniversary of that tragic day. Please join us for this commemorative ceremony as we honor the victims of 9|11. First responders of and from cities within Lake County will come together to form a memorial procession on Main Street between S. Joanna Ave. & S. Sinclair Ave. in downtown Tavares. A bell will be rung for each life that was lost on 9|11. Special guest speakers to be announced. Seating is limited.
