On Saturday, April 5, former South Lake High School standout Nia DeBenedittis’ current college team, the Saint Leo Lions, won 11-1 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Florida Southern Moccasins.
The game took place at Chris Bellotto Field. This was their third matchup against the Moccasins this season.
The Lions’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 11 at 6 p.m. at Mary Cannon Cabot Stadium against Nova Southeastern Sharks.
