Salute to Veterans is a family-friendly event on Saturday, November 12, 2022, to pay tribute to our Active Military, Veterans, 1st Responders, and the families and friends who support them.

The event will kick off with a 2-Mile Dash Run/Walk starting at 8:30 a.m. in beautiful Downtown Eustis in honor of our Veterans. All participants will receive a t-shirt, finisher medal, chip time, and more! Register at https://raceroster.com/events/2022/63070/salute-to-veterans/participants

After the run, at 10:00 a.m. a Veterans Day Parade will march down Eustis Street starting at the Eustis Armory (605 S. Bay Street), to Downtown Eustis in honor of the courageous service members that honorably served and fought for our nation’s freedoms. The parade will feature many Veteran businesses and organizations, Honor Guards, ROTC units, the EHS marching band, and local supporters.

Immediately following the parade, a Ceremony of Honor will begin on the Ferran Park bandshell, featuring guest speaker David Kauffman. Meanwhile, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., enjoy vendors, kid’s activities, food trucks, live music, and a display of military vehicles from the Florida Military Vehicle Heritage Group.

The City of Eustis is honored to welcome Retired Major General David Coffman as the guest speaker during our Salute to Veterans Ceremony of Honor. Having served the United States Marine Corps for 34 years, Major General Coffman proudly returns to his hometown to deliver a message of Faith, Family, Country, and Community.

Lastly, enjoy live music from Johnny Wild & The Delights as they perform their “Stars & Stripes” show from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the historic Alice McClelland bandshell in Ferran Park.
