Nia DeBenedittis, a former South Lake High School standout and now a member of the Saint Leo Lions softball team, is set to take part in the NCAA Division II Tournament.
Entering as the No. 1 seed, the Lions will open tournament play against the top-seeded Cal State San Marcos Cougars.
The tournament’s opening game is scheduled for Friday, May 29, at 9 a.m. at Jim Frost Stadium.
