On May 29, Nia DeBenedittis, a former South Lake High School standout now competing with the Saint Leo Lions, helped her team to a 5-3 victory over the Cal State San Marcos Cougars during the NCAA Division II Tournament.
The matchup was held at Jim Frost Stadium with a scheduled start at 9 a.m.
The Lions are set to play their next tournament game at Jim Frost Stadium on Sunday, May 31, at 11 a.m.
