On Saturday, March 22, former South Lake High School standout Nia DeBenedittis’ current college team, the Saint Leo Lions, lost 4-3 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Florida Tech Panthers.
The game took place at Nancy Bottge Field. This was their third matchup against the Tech Panthers this season.
The Lions’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 28 at 6 p.m. at Mary Cannon Cabot Stadium against Embry-Riddle FL Eagles.
