On Saturday, Feb. 8, former South Lake High School standout Nia DeBenedittis’ current college team, the Saint Leo Lions, lost 5-1 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the West Alabama Tigers.
The game took place at Mary Cannon Cabot Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Tigers this season.
The Lions’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 9 at 12 p.m. at Mary Cannon Cabot Stadium against Valdosta State Blazers.
