On Friday, Feb. 28, former South Lake High School standout Nia DeBenedittis’ current college team, the Saint Leo Lions, won 7-5 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish.
The game took place at Simpson Field. This was their first matchup against the Sailfish this season.
The Lions’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 12 p.m. at Simpson Field against Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish.
