The University of Florida’s Full-Time MBA has topped the list of programs offering the best career services and career opportunities according to the 2022 WhichMBA? Full-Time Rankings from The Economist.

The ranking is calculated based on the experiences of alumni, who have consistently ranked UF MBA among the best programs when it comes to helping students find and secure jobs during their time as a graduate business student. Based on feedback from UF MBA alumni, the program has been No. 1 in the “Alumnus Rating of Career Service” category for five consecutive years and the No. 2 program in the “Open New Career Opportunities” category for the past two years.

“Alumni ratings are the backbone of this ranking from The Economist,” said John Gresley, Assistant Dean and Director of UF MBA. “Seeing how highly our alumni have rated their experience in our program, especially in regard to helping them achieve their career goals, brings us all of us at UF MBA great satisfaction.”

For recent UF MBA Full-Time graduate Ryan Gilbert, the UF MBA experience helped set him up for success and land the role of Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis with Target.

“Not only does UF have a strong pipeline to some of the nation’s best employers, but our small cohort sizes allow our career services team to provide students with individualized career coaching,” he said. “As a result, I was fortunate to have successfully competed with students from the nation’s premier business schools and been extended over 10 full-time job offers.”

Overall, the UF MBA Full-Time program was ranked No. 21 internationally, No. 17 in the United States and No. 5 among U.S. public schools.

With this ranking from The Economist, UF MBA is among the top 10 public programs of multiple major rankings. U.S. News & World Report ranked it the No. 10 public program in 2022, Bloomberg Businessweek named it the No. 7 public program and among the best for networking, diversity, learning and compensation, and Financial Times ranked UF MBA No. 8 among U.S. publics as well as the No. 1 program in value for money and career services.

As part of a large public flagship institution committed to access, UF MBA offers generous scholarships and merit awards allowing for maximum returns in career and financial outcomes. In addition to its top marks for career services from The Economist and Financial Times, for five years in a row, UF MBA has been named among the top 5 MBA programs in the nation with the highest ROI for graduates earning $100,000-plus by U.S. News & World Report. With a salary-to-debt ratio of 4.4-to-1, UF MBA is the No. 3 MBA program for return on investment.

The Economist’s full-time rankings are based on surveys sent to eligible programs and thousands of MBA students and graduates around the world. The programs are judged on four major categories, the weightings of which are based on the importance to MBA students themselves: Open New Career Opportunities (35%), Personal Development and Education Experience (35%), Salary (20%), and Potential to Network (10%).
