Duke Energy hires qualified, trained tree personnel to inspect and clear vegetation that poses a threat to our power lines, using integrated vegetation management (IVM) practices that are based on the voltage and type of line, as well as the type of vegetation and its proximity to the line. Crews will be practicing social distancing and will stay at least 6 feet away from others. More information on our vegetation management practices can be found here.

Duke Energy cannot guarantee uninterrupted service all of the time, Duke’s focus on sound vegetation management practices has helped ensure we continue to provide our customers with exceptional reliability.
