An incident of alleged sexual violence occurring on January 28, 2023, has been reported to Lake-Sumter State College. At this time there is no reason to believe that there is any additional threat to the safety of students, faculty, staff, or visitors to the campus.

All members of the LSSC community are reminded to be aware of their surroundings on campus and report all suspicious, concerning, or criminal behaviors and circumstances to Campus Safety immediately.

Campus safety resources are available at www.lssc.edu/safety and in the Lake-Sumter Safe App, available for iOS and Android.

This community alert, also known as a timely warning, is issued in accordance with the Clery Act to notify the campus community of certain crimes and aid in the prevention of similar crimes.
