The Eustis City Government will be closed for normal business on Monday, July 4, 2022 in observance of Independence Day. Normal hours of operation will resume on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. The following programs and services are affected by the Independence Day closure:

Eustis Memorial Library 

The Library will be closed on Monday, July 4. Normal hours of operation will resume on Tuesday, July 5. 

Aquatic Center 

The Aquatic Center will offer FREE ENTRY, for open swim and splash pad use from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Friday, July 1 as part of the City’s Independence Day event in Ferran Park. Bathing suits are required. No food or drink is permitted inside. 

The Aquatic Center will be open during Independence Day week/weekend: 

Friday, July 1 (12 p.m. – 8 p.m. – free entry), Saturday, July 2 (11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.), Monday, July 4 (11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.), Wednesday, July 6 (11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.), Friday, July 8 (11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.), Saturday, July 9 (11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.)

Admission for children 11 years and under is $2/per person and admission for 12 years and older is $3/per person. Bathing suits are required. No food or drink is permitted inside. 

Garbage/Yard Trash/Recycling Service

Residential: No refuse or recycling collection service Monday, July 4. Normal Monday service will be picked-up on Tuesday, July 5. Garbage/recycling/yard waste will be picked-up the day after your normal pick-up. 

Additionally, there will be no commercial container services on the holiday. Those customers whose service day falls on Monday will have their container serviced on an alternate day during the week.

Independence Day Event Information

The City of Eustis will host its Independence Day, Hometown Celebration on Friday, July 1 in Ferran Park, located at 250 Ferran Park Drive in Eustis. The free, family-friendly event runs from 5 – 9:30 p.m. Entertainment at the Celebration will include music from Johnny and the Delights, the Central Florida Show Ski Team, axe throwing, and more. Enjoy vendors, food, and a spectacular fireworks finale over Lake Eustis starting at 9:30 p.m. (by Four Seasons Display, Inc.).
