Clermont’s annual, signature, patriotic celebration, Red, White & BOOM!, will light up Waterfront Park, 330 3rd Street, Monday, July 4 from 7 to 10 p.m.

The free, family event will be filled with fun activities including food trucks with tasty culinary delights, a pie-eating contest for some sweet competition, a patriotic outfit contest to show off some stars and stripes and an opportunity to take part in an artistic interpretative display honoring our flag.

A variety of music will be provided throughout the evening by “The Actual Bank Robbers” on the Highlander stage at 7:20 and 8:45 p.m. A fireworks display scheduled to begin at 9:15 p.m. will round out the evening.

“The City is exited to again provide this evening of family-fun entertainment to all the residents of Clermont,” City Manager Brian Bulthuis said. “We hope you will come out to celebrate our nation’s independence.”

To provide additional parking options, shuttle buses will offer free rides between Waterfront Park and Palatlakaha Park and West Park, both on 12th Street. The buses will pick up and drop off between 6:30 and 11 p.m. The City is also working to finalize ride-sharing discounts and details will be shared on social media.

Make plans to grab your blankets, your family and friends and get there early for a festive Independence Day celebration on the shores of Lake Minneola.
