Lane earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Community and Regional Planning from Southern Mississippi and has served as a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners since 1995.  During his time with Panama City, Lane was also the City’s liaison for their planning commission and managed the City’s retail recruitment strategy to entice retailers and commercial developers to the area.
